Christmas Extravaganza!

It has been quite a while since I have posted. We have been on the move this Christmas season and are just now getting settled back into normal life. We made a quick trip to see the Mesa Temple lights the Sunday before Christmas. It wouldn't be a real Christmas without doing this. Sadie and Drew loved the lights and even after two loops around the temple, were still not ready to go home. Next we packed up all three kids in our fancy Kia Rondo rental car and made the 12 hour trip to Utah. Thanks to a dvd player and lots of treats from Santa we made it there just under 12 hours. Brinlee was a great little traveler. We only made two stops which is a record for us. Utah was very very cold and snowy. The kids thought the snow looked like fun but only lasted outside for about ten minutes and then were ready to come in. We had a comical nativity at my parents house. Sadie played Mary, Drew was a shepherd- and Brinlee of course played baby Jesus. There were tons of presents and lots of good food had by all. Sadie's favorites were her ironing board and iron from Nana and all her "princess stuff" from Brad's family. Drew got a train from the Phillips grandparents which he really likes- and a bounce house from my brother. A real blow up bounce house that comes with balls and swords to fight with. Brinlee was the recipient of lots of cute clothes and I am very appreciative. I got a pedicure at a fancy spa as one of my gifts and enjoyed that Saturday morning while Brad braved being home alone with all three kids. Brad got additional accesories/games for his- I mean our wii. We headed back here to the warmth on Monday and have been playing with new toys and having fun with Brad being off from work ever since. Sadie is already asking me what holiday comes next and do we have decorations for it. She is definitely my child. Here are a few pics that tell the story of our Christmas 2008 experience. Happy New Year!!!

It looks like you had a great Christmas. We went to the lights at the Mesa temple when we visited my in-laws on their mission a few years ago. So beautiful, and not freezing! Nice.
