The next morning it was off to California for our Disneyland trip. I have the sweetest aunt who lives within driving distance of Disneyland. Last year when we went for Sadie's b-day, she snuck into our hotel room and decorated the room and left a cake from the "princesses". So to continue the tradition this year she snuck in and decorated with all things pirate. She made an amazing pirate ship cake complete with little pirate figurines. Drew had a treasure map and gold coins to follow into the room that was full of all the booty. My aunt was even so sweet as to bring all the kids new pjs for the Disneyland stay. Thanks Aunt Paula- you are the best!! It was a magical start to our Disneyland fun.

Drew's Birthday Bash!
Drew turned 4 years old last Wed. Since we were off to Disneyland on his actual birthday, we had a party for him the night before. He got many many many presents, one of which was a basketball hoop to go in the backyard. Drew and Sadie tried it out in the house- and then as soon as a picture frame was knocked over we moved the hoop outside. Nana and Sadie made Drew yummy pirate cupcakes, and in true pirate fashion he blew out the candles with an Arrrrr!

That little boy is obsessed! I love it! Who knew it would last so long? And that is so great of Aunt Paula! Hope you guys had a fun time at Disneyland!
Oh my goodness, what a cute little pirate! Hey Drew, "Happy Birthday!'
I'm so thankful for the memories. Sadie was such a good big sister, helping Drew solve his pirate treasure map and then standing back to let him have his moment. I think all the kids were amazingly well-behaved on the trip. (minus the 3 hour sleep the first night, right Claire?) Good job posting pics so fast, thanks.
love, nana 2E
So cute claire! Can't believe our kids are getting so big so fast - yieks! I guess that means we are getting old too:)
