Today is Cinco de Mayo and man- I mean hombre- have we celebrated. Sadie and I hosted a Mexican lunch for all of our friends in the neighborhood. It turned out great. I even managed to copy Costa Vida's sweet pork recipe and it came out pretty darn close. We had bacardi mixers for the beverage. I used to make these all the time back in high school with my friends- and I need to make them more often cuz they are good. Sadie is again mistaken on the exact name of this holiday- she is saying "Happy Cinco de Morrow" to everyone we have come in contact with today- including the receptionist at the dentist office when I called to reschedule this morning. Any excuse for a party is the motto at this house. Because of my hosting duties I neglected to take pictures during the event- but I did get this one of Sadie showing off the frozen cans of drink before everyone arrived. She was a little excited- can you tell? I promise there was no alcohol in the drinks-atleast not in the kids drinks. I hope you all had a great Cinco de Mayo and attempted to speak a little Spanish for the day- or atleast had a taco.

OH MY HECK! That pic with the bacardi mixers is priceless! It's even better when you blow it up to full screen size. Claire, you are such a fun and festive mom. Hope you get a nap sometime.
love, nana 2E

I thought you said there was NO alcohol in any of the drinks...liar! :) Thanks again for inviting the gang over for lunch. It was sooo yummy. You’re the best! And why are we the only ones with blogs from this place???
Wow, you are the party queen! How fun, I didn't even think of a Cinco de morrow party. I can hardly believe how big your kids are getting.
