Sadie's birthday came and went and now she is the proud owner of bunk beds. She can't get enough of her new beds and will be even more happy when the second mattress arrives tomorrow. At this point we have just been moving one mattress back and forth between the top and bottom bunks which isn't quite as fun. She had donuts for breakfast- took cupcakes to preschool- and then it was off to Fudds for a birthday dinner with G and G Phillips- then home for presents and oreo ice cream pie(her request). She is now a true grown up 4 year old and reminds me often that 4 year olds don't need things like naps and time outs. Brad had a great Father's Day. His big present was a recliner. We have been talking about getting one for a while now and with swollen ankles just around the corner for me- I thought now was the perfect time. It is quite comfortable and enjoyed by everyone in the family- especially the kids. Sadie sang her heart out with the primary kids in sacrament meeting and even made Brad a paper tie. It is crazy hot here today and only going to get worse this week. Thank goodness for the a/c and the pool.

Getting donuts with a candle in them for breakfast- a family tradition.

This is a cute magnetic board that Grandma Phillip's gave Sadie to hang in her room and hold her special projects.

Enjoying her oreo ice cream pie.

Sadie and Drew sharing the recliner- Drew wanted a turn by himself and is not very happy as you can see.

This is how Brad spent last night- watching the basketball game from the comfort of his new chair- notice the fancy tie.

Looks like both occasions were very well celebrated. Hope you are able to kick the kids out of the chair often enough to put your feet up. With that lip Drew is sporting I don't think I could do it! Kisses to everyone from nana 2E
