Hoppy Easter!

We are definitely enjoying this Easter weekend. Yesterday we had an improptu neighborhood egg hunt which was really fun. The kids went crazy grabbing eggs- and Drew only stopped a few times to open them during the hunt to see what he got. We even had cupcakes at the park with all the kids afterwards. This morning the Easter Bunny rang our doorbell and left baskets for the kids. Drew got a baseball mitt, a mini basketball hooop and ball, a sticker book and lots and lots of candy. Sadie got a whole ream of paper as well as stickers and a workbook, and candy of course. Brinlee got a little bucket and shovel but went right to opening her eggs and shoving m and ms in her mouth before we could stop her. She is sporting an easter black eye today. She pulled one of our bar stools down on herself last night and has a nice shiner to prove it. Luckily their presents have kept them entertained while we have listend to conference. It is not on tv here this year so we are just having to strain our ears and listen online. Good thing the talks will be out in print soon. Here are a few pics of our Easter fun. I am looking forward to the yummy ham and cheesy potatoes for dinner tonight. Bet you wish you were here with us in our 70 degree Easter temps. Feel free to come and visit, but make sure you come before our 70s turn to 100s.

What a great post - looks like the kids had a blast. You live in a fun neighborhood. Love the pic of the "easter black eye", although it also made me tear up a little. Drew looks so happy with his mitt, and Sadie looks thrilled with her ream of paper - who'd a thought, eh? Paper.
She is a darling, smart girl - watch out. Easter looks to have been an overall success, so kudos to the 'easter bunny'(love that he rang the doorbell :))
love,
