We had a great Easter weekend at the Phillip's house. Brad decided to take Friday off since Sadie would be out of school. It was so nice to have him around to help entertain the troops. We ventured out to the pool which was still a little on the cold side- but the kids didn't mind at all. Saturday morning the kids came downstairs to find the Easter Bunny had been by and left baskets of goodies as well as some donuts. Sadie's basket was full of books- Drew got a new batman figurine- and Brinlee got a little Rapunzel doll. They got more than enough candy as well. After breakfast we headed out to see Rio at the movie theater as a fam. It was a cute movie and held the attention of the kids except for Brinlee who lost it the last 20 minutes or so. I let her stand in front of her chair and she danced til the movie was over. Today we had a nice brunch before getting dressed up in our new Easter duds(thanks nana) to head out to church. I think it has helped the kids understand Easter a little bit better when we do the bunny part on Saturday and then can focus on Jesus and his ressurection on actual Easter Sunday. The kids all had great lessons in their primary classes on Easter and we were able to have a nice conversation over our dinner on why we celebrate this holiday and why we all love our Savior.

That was the happiest bunch of easter smiles ever! I love the sleepy early morning ones. Also, the one of Drew with his blue drink from his basket and his big blue eyes....he looks like he's thinking,"but I WANT to drink it right now!"
Thanks for taking the pics and also for putting them in my album. YAY!
love,
