Sadie turns 7- in the State of her birth

One of our main reasons for picking Utah as our vacation destination was so Sadie could celebrate her birthday with our extended family. She was the lucky recipient of two birthday bashes. On Monday night my mom hosted a big bbq party for her complete with a princess pinata. There had been plans to have a slip n slide and swimming pool in the backyard, but the weather did not permit such activities- especially for my Arizona children. We had lots of yummy food and it was so great to visit cousins and family friends that we hadn't seen in such a long time. Sadie made a haul on the present front and that was only round 1. The next night we headed up north for swimming with Uncle Matt and Aunt Sierra at a really fun pool right next to their house. Again, the weather was not the roasting 100 degrees that my kids are used to so we didn't last too long at the pool- but it was still a lot of fun. We then headed up to Brigham City to Grandma Colleen's for Sadie's 2nd party. All of Brad's siblings were there with their spouses and kids. All of the cousins had fun running around together in the big backyard. Again Sadie came away with arm fulls of presents. At this point we were hoping we would have enough room in the van to take everything home.
