The Help

It was fall break this past week which meant that Sadie and Drew were home all week.  Sadie had homework for the week which of course she was eager to complete.  She had a list of things she could do to stay active and sharp during break and she was supposed to choose three to complete.  Of course being the over achiever that she is, she decided to do everything on the list.  One of the activities was to help in the kitchen with making a meal or a treat.  She assisted me in baking all of our Halloween sugar cookies on Saturday and enjoyed it so much that she asked if she could help with dinner on Monday.  She was so efficient in the first couple of tasks I gave her that I pretty much let her take over the meal prep.  In no time Sadie had prepared a whole pan full of lasagna rolls.  I was definitely impressed by how well she did and will have to enlist her help more often in future meals.
