Happy 4th!
We had a great 4th of July. Brad had actually been off work since Thursday so we had a fun long weekend with him. On the actual 4th of July we had decided to have a little neighborhood get-to-gether. Since it is so hot outside we decided to rotate between a few of our houses for each course. We started off the evening by having appetizers at our house. It was so fun to get ready all day for the big party. Sadie is all about the holidays(I wonder where she gets that?) so she had a blast helping me to prepare everything. I took a few pics of the spread before the party got started. We then went onto our friend's the Hanchett's for some yummy bbq- bring your own meat style. Then it was onto the Webb's for yummy dessert and a game of giganja. This would be the game of jenga on steroids. I didn't get any pictures of the game but it was basically a tower of two by fours that we had to keep the kids away from so they would not be crushed. We capped off the night by taking the kids for an after dark swim since we are not huge fans of fireworks. All in all it was a really fun day. You can always tell if you have done a holiday up right if Sadie asks at the end of the day "can it be the 4th of July again tomorrow?"

Your apetisers were delish! It was fun to spend a little of the 4th with you guys!!
It sounds like you guys had a great fourth!! We miss you guys and wished that we could be closer to you all!!!!
Such cute pics! I love that you and Sadie love the holidays so much! That's how you were when you were little too Claire. I also think the fact that you are not 'firework people' stems from the time we took you as a 2 yr old to provo's 'Stadium of Fire'. It was too loud and overwhelming for you...you spent the entire time under my knees on the bleachers! :(
