A Special Saturday

This past Saturday, July 14th, Sadie was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  It was such a special day.  We were lucky enough to have family that traveled from Utah to attend the baptism.  My parents were here as well as Brad's parents and his brother Matt and his wife Sierra and their little guy Beckett.  We also had our family away from family(aka our great friends here in the desert) come to the baptism and join us for lunch afterwards.  Sadie looked so pretty in her white dress and her braided hair do. (thanks for that one nana)  It was pretty surreal to see her get baptized wearing the same dress I wore all those years ago.  As I met her fresh out of the waters of baptism, ready to wrap a towel around her, she was smiling so big.  I asked her how she felt and she said "cold."  As we walked back to her dressing area to change out of the wet clothes, she told me she felt "cold on the outside, but warm on the inside."  As you could probably guess, I was a little emotional after hearing that.  Sadie is a great example to her little brothers and sister who now can't wait for their baptism days to come.

Congratulations to Sadie. And remember she is a great, spiritual girl because you raised her!

How darling is that girl? I love that you and she had that special time together as she came out of the water. It's a "payday" for parents, isn't it? Everything was so nice, the luncheon afterwards, the friends, and all the great family time with you guys. Thanks so much for letting us be there. It was the beginning of an era for us a grandparents and we are so proud of Sadie for setting the pace.
love you all LOADS,
