Last week, on a particularly hot day, we decided to opt out of our usual morning swim and instead hang out in the yard with the water table and blow up kiddy pool. It was a nice change of pace. I think all of the kids enjoyed it, especially Cole. Drew got a bubble gun from our Disneyland vacation and has been dying to use it since we got back. He sat for a good 1/2 hour in front of Cole blowing bubbles and listening to Cole shriek with excitement. We finished off the morning with some popsicles that barely made it into the kids mouths before they had melted. Nothing like this 110+ degree weather to make you want to hang out in your swimming suit all day and eat posicles poolside.

Send us some of your heat! So far we've had one day that has felt like summer. Those are some cute kiddos! And when did Cole get SO blonde? I really need to meet that kid.
Claire! what darling water/sunbabies your kidlets are! And, suddenly, Sadie is all arms and legs! When did that happen? It's like she has sprouted overnight! They are all so brown and happy in the heat - they really are arizona kids, eh? Can't wait to hug you all in person.
thanks for being such a great summer mama.

PS I love how everyone is so enamoured of Cole. They never seem to tire of sharing with him, and making him laugh. He is adored, which is not always the case with babies. I think they all feel so secure in their little lives and spheres that they have plenty left over to give to someone else. Plus that Cole babe is pretty easy to love.
as are they all...
