Fan Fest

Today we loaded up the fam and went on an exciting outing. It was Fan Fest 2008 at the Arizona Diamondbacks stadium so we thought we'd check it out. It really was a lot of fun. Outside of the stadium there were tons of booths from the team's sponspors and lots of free stuff. But inside the stadium was where all the cool stuff was. There were tons fo the Diamondback players signing autographs and taking pictures and just wandering around. We stood in line for about a half hour to get a photo with the first baseman Connor Jackson and another guy who isn't quite as famous so I can't remember his name at the moment. Anyway- for me most of the enjoyment came from listening to the other people waiting in line and hearing how completely crazy they are. These people live for Connor Jackson and can't wait to stand in his personal space bubble and breath his air. Ahhhh- can you say stalker. It really was quite comical though. When it was our turn Sadie Drew and Brad headed up for the photo op while I positioned myself for the best picture possible. The players were really cute with the kids and chatted it up with Brad for a minute. But- as you will see in the picture to follow- something was terribly wrong with our camera and the picture came out totally blurry. Good thing Brad is not a crazy mental fan who was going to frame this picture and put it on his desk at work to caress and or salute everyday. Anyway- believe it or not- that is really Brad and the kids with THE Connor Jackson- oh yeah and the other player guy. We really had a great time which included a tour of the dug out and the clubhouse. We really are so lucky to live in this land of perpetual sun and sporting events. P.S.- I am running the air conditioner right now since the thermostat read 80 degrees when we got back home. Sorry to you people that are having extreme weather- we will get ours in a few more months- don't you worry.

NO FAIR! So fun...I love the one of all of you guys on the diamond. You are just a little sports-fan- family, aren't you? Actually, I'm not jealous, just glad that you guys get to have so many great adventures. Thanks for being such good parents to my grandkids!

What the heck happened with your camera, that picture looks like mom could have taken it. This comment is met 100% affectionately (towards you and mom). Looks like a fun filled day at the ball park, wish we could've been there. Go D-Backs!
