Drew aka Toothles

As part of our Spring Break fun, Drew had a dentist appointment.  We had taken all the kids in for their cleaning the week before and Drew was the only one with a cavity and it was only one- yay!!!  He hadn't lost any teeth at this point and the dentist was a little concerned about some cavities in the front bottom teeth that we had been watching.  We were hoping they would fall out before they would need fillings.  The dentist suggested that since Drew would already be happy gassed up for his filling that we just go ahead and have him pull out the front four bottom teeth.  I was a little hesitant since that is a lot of teeth to come out all at once, but our awesome dentists reassured me that recovery would be minimal and he even gave us a deal on the cost since he knew the tooth fairy would have to be cashing in 4 teeth all at once.  So in the week between the cleaning and his appointment to get the work done, Drew actually lost one of those teeth all on his own.  The top picture shows the little hole from the first tooth lost and the bottom pic is after the remaining three were pulled.  He has the cutest smile now and I absolutely love the way he talks.  He has found it a bit difficult to chew minus those four chompers, but he is adapting quickly.  He is also four dollars richer which doesn't hurt one bit.
