A letter from where???

We had plans to head to Utah for Christmas this year which meant that somehow we were going to need to fit lots of gifts and luggage in our car and have room to bring back other gifts/luggage.  Brad and I were not sure how this was going to work since we are already usually packed to the gills with just the essentials.  Lucky for us, we received a letter in the mail a few days before our trip from where else but the North Pole.  In the letter Santa explained that he would be dropping off his gifts for the kids the next morning since there wouldn't be room to bring them back in the car from Utah.  He said he would still be coming by Nana's house to fill their stockings so they weren't off the hook yet for being good.  The kids could hardly contain themselves- including Sadie who found out the truth about Mr. Claus last year.  We had a fun night making cookies, watching a movie, and wearing new pjs.  Then off to bed so Santa could come.  The next morning they all gathered at the top of the stairs for the traditional picture, and then raced down to see what was there.  Sadie got a bunch of owl swag including clothes, jewelry, and notebooks.  Drew got the batcave and a bunch of action figures.  Brinlee got the Princess Sophia castle and princess dolls. And Cole got a Cars train table.  Cole's present was really for everyone I think because that is what they were all the most excited about.  It was fun to spread out Christmas, and even more fun to not have to figure out how to fit everything in the van!
