Mesa Temple Lights

One of our Christmas traditions since moving to AZ has been to go to the Mesa Temple Lights.  The kids bundle up in all their gear(sweatshirts and random hats and gloves) and we head out at dusk to see the lights.  There were some new additions to the decor this year including a beautiful white nativity on the water.  We love to tour inside the visitors center where we watched a video of the nativity, saw nativity  sets from all over the world, saw the Christus statue and heard the recording that goes along with it, and warmed up a bit from the outside temps of 50 degrees.  Cole was stroller free this year which meant we all had to be on our toes to make sure he didn't end up in the fountains.  I love this tradition as it helps us bring the true meaning of Christmas into our home.

hard to capture Cole on
film, eh? he is usually
just a blur! he makes
some pretty funny faces
too! Love that you guys
have this tradition. The
kids will all have happy
memories associated with
that temple. and the Christus.
I remember being there one
Christmas and Sadie wanted
so badly to see the nativity's
but we didn't have time.
glad you saw them this time
love,
